In the past it was often difficult to book travel from Omaha the nearest airport to Nebraska City to Nanning our home city in China. We would need get a ticket to an international airport like LAX or Newark NJ then get another 1 or 2 ticket arrive in Nanning. This meant get a luauage at each stop and then rechecking in and going thru security.
Now we can book one ticket and get 3 boarding passes in Omaha and luggage goes all the way to Nanning. We only need to go thru security one in Omaha, once in China we go thru simple customs check once we arrive at our home city. The cost each this trip was less than $900 round trip each.
This time there was a small problem, The flight from our first city (Xiamen) in China to our home city was Canceled! The next flight was 25 later on the next day. This turned into a good thing. Our Uber driver to the Free Hotel Turned into a local guide and we got to visit most of the important tourist site in Xiamen with no waiting or lines. When we have our return trip he will show us the rest.
